October Sewing Class Part 2

I taught my second night of Sewing Class at Make and Take Craft Weekend and the ladies were rock stars! We first finished the reversible tote bags they had started last week and then we rocked out a half apron. Besides a little trouble with one of their machines, they were awesome! So fun to watch people figure out how to sew and those bits of material come together to create something fun and useful.
Samantha modeling her apron!

Finished reversible tote bag.

Lynn was showing her modeling talent with her sewing talent!

Cute colorful apron!

This was my example apron I made to show them.

The reversible tote was taken from MADE, I made a bunch of these for teachers gifts at the end of the school year last year and I love seeing the teachers carry their things in them! The apron is the Kitschy Kitchen Apron from the book One-Yard Wonders. The material is stuff I have had in my stash for a long time with the intentions of doing a skirt for my oldest daughter but never got around to it.

So cute! My sister and I just finished up some aprons. Are you in sewing circles at all? As I'm not a good teacher, a ladies sewing night sounds amazing to me.

Not in a sewing circle, this is my first time teaching a Sewing Class and I just tried to think back to when I first started and what was so daunting to me. We just started Make and Take Craft Weekend and we have this awesome craft room with sewing machines so I thought it needed to be put to use a little more than once a month and people are always asking me if I can teach them so now I am! You and your sister should check out our weekends, it would be a great getaway!
